Supporting police-led missing persons investigations through coordinated public awareness and community response.

Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC) works with police agencies across Canada to support missing children and vulnerable persons investigations. Police provide verified case information, and MCSC helps amplify that information through trusted public awareness channels, MCSC Rescu, SMS alerts, social media, media partners, and community networks.

How MCSC Supports Police

  • Police-authorized public alert distribution
  • MCSC Rescu and SMS alerting tools
  • Community awareness amplification
  • Technology-enabled case workflows
  • Support for cases that do not meet AMBER Alert criteria
  • Partnerships with media, transportation, corporate, and community networks

Child Search Network

The Child Search Network helps police reach members of the public whose eyes, ears, and voices may be critical in the search for a missing child. It includes MCSC Rescu, social media, SMS alerts, and other digital communication channels.

All case information shared through MCSC’s network comes directly from police.
