CODE: Search

CODE: Search is a rapid response program that directly engages the private and public sectors in the active investigation of missing children.

Just like a family creates an Emergency Exit safety plan for their home, a community can create an emergency response plan so everyone knows exactly how to respond when a child goes missing.

MCSC partners with corporations to build a pool of resources and expertise that can be activated in communities across the country to assist MCSC and law enforcement in bringing a missing child back to safety.

Each corporate partner plays a unique role in the plan. One partner may be engaged in setting up road blocks, another partner may be engaged in organizing search volunteers while another partner might be distributing critical information through their communication channels. The plan is created based on the best assets each partner can bring to the table to bring a child home safely and quickly.

Our corporate partners also take an active role in training their organizations and communities – building Community Safety Councils, working with community associations, PTA’s and other groups - to facilitate the safety plan and support the efforts to keep their communities safe.
