MCSC Receives all of it's statistical information from the RCMP National Missing Children Services.
The first Canadian statistics on missing children were released in 1987. There were 57,233 children reported missing that year.
In 2008, there were 56,102 children reported missing in Canada.
The following table displays a breakdown of the reported cases of missing children in 2008.
